Read moreAs part of it’s celebration of language and culture during the upcoming Seachtain na Gaeilge (March 2023), Gaelscoil Philib Barún presents Liam Ó Maonlaí, musician and singer, in concert in the school hall on Wednesday, 8 March 2023. Support will be provided by Cór Fear na nDéise and by our own Múinteoir Dara Blount. Tickets are available via Eventbrite only and will cost €15 + fees. Tickets will be available to the general public from Saturday, 11 February 2023 onwards.
Read moreGaelscoil Philib Barún is accepting enrolment applications for Junior Infants (for the 2023-2024 school year) during the month of February 2023. An open night for prospective parents will be help at the school on Tuesday, 7 February 2023 from 7pm – 8pm, with directions to the school available on the Contact Us page of the school website. This will allow parents to view the school and its facilities, with the option to discuss immersion education in an all-Irish primary school

For many parents, this was their first time to ever see their child perform on stage, a precious part of family life and memory creation that should not be underestimated. Read moreThe school gathered on Friday, 30 September 2022, to mark the retirement of Múinteoir Caitlín and to pay tribute to Múinteoir Máire Uí Dhonncha. Both teachers have given long and loyal service, over many decades, to the school and its pupils. All of the children held both teachers in the highest esteem and this was reflected in the song that Dara, our fifth-class teacher, composed for the occasion. The song was sung with great enthusiasm by all in the hall.
