Irish Classes for Parents

If you would like to participate in a mixed ability Irish language class for parents of pupils in the school, we will run a virtual class (from 7 – 8pm on Zoom) starting on Tuesday, 11 January 2022. The classes will continue each week (Tuesdays, at the same time) for 8 weeks. Classes are free and informal and interested parents can enrol by sending an email to where you will receive a link to join the classes.

Red Hat sponsors school STEAM projects

The Board of Management for Gaelscoil Philib Barún wishes to acknowledge the extremely generous sponsorship recently received from Red Hat in Waterford for our STEAM projects at the school. This funding, which was provided by the Red Hat Cares team (a part of Red Hat’s Community & Social Responsibility programme), will help us to continue with initiatives which combine technology and the arts in our curriculum. Back to School on Thursday, 6 January 2022

The school will reopen again as per the school calendar on Thursday, 6 January 2022. The same arrangements as last term will apply in response to Covid restrictions, with mask wearing and the same school drop-off and pick-up times. Please follow all public health guidelines and the recently issued advice from the Chief Medical Officer and the Minister of Education which is available on this website.
