Physical Education

The Physical Education review area of the Active Schools Process relates to planning for formal P.E. lessons and the implementation of the six strands in the P.E. Curriculum.

It also includes the area of Professional Development for teachers in all of the curricular strands

Finally, it encourages schools to investigate resources for successfully implementing the P.E. strands.

Muinteoir Tanya was with us for seven weeks teaching us gymnastics. Here are some of the pictures from those sessions.

Every Tuesday third and fourth class are going swimming to Splashworld.

On Wednesdays, classes from rang 1-6 are taking part in gymnastics with Múinteoir Tanya.

Here are some of the children’s comments:

  • Is breá liom é agus tá múinteoir Tanya an-mhaith. Is í an staidiúir is fearr liom ná An Crogall (Aliyah, Rang 3).
  • Ceapaim go bhfuil sé spraoiúil agus bainim craic as mar tá mé le mo chairde. Uaireanta faighim deacair é mar níl mé solúbtha go leor (Saoirse Grás Cliffe, Rang 5).
  • Ceapaim go bhfuil an gleacaíocht an-mhaith mar tá sé suimiúil agus go maith do do chorp (Aimee Ní Cheallaigh, Rang 4).
  • Ceapaim go bhfuil sé an-mhaith mar tá sé spraoiúil agus is rud nua é (Emmet, Rang 4).
  • Tá sé go maith mar táimid ábalta a bheith gníomhach (Reece, Rang 6).
