Retirement of Caitlín and Mary Dunphy

The school gathered on Friday, 30 September 2022, to mark the retirement of Múinteoir Caitlín and to pay tribute to Múinteoir Máire Uí Dhonncha. Both teachers have given long and loyal service, over many decades, to the school and its pupils. All of the children held both teachers in the highest esteem and this was reflected in the song that Dara, our fifth-class teacher, composed for the occasion. The song was sung with great enthusiasm by all in the hall.

Virtual Classroom Updates

The school has decided to minimise as much as is possible the amount of books and copybooks that have to be brought home from school during the 2021-2022 school year. To this end, we will continue to use Padlet, Seesaw and Edmodo to help with homework. Thank You, Muinteoir Ben

Muinteori Ben received a surprise gift earlier today, to thank him for all of the effort he has invested in producing the “Saoirse” film, which was formally launched earlier today. The gift, which took the form of a Vinyl EP of the movie soundtrack, was presented by former pupil Kelly Ní Mheirnín who composed, recorded and produced the music in the film. Homework Collaboration

As part of the school’s efforts to minimise the impact of the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak, which led to the school being closed from Friday, 13 March 2020 to Monday, 30 March 2020, the teachers have collaborated to provide some virtual learning aids.
