Red Hat sponsors school STEAM projects

The Board of Management for Gaelscoil Philib Barún wishes to acknowledge the extremely generous sponsorship recently received from Red Hat in Waterford for our STEAM projects at the school. This funding, which was provided by the Red Hat Cares team (a part of Red Hat’s Community & Social Responsibility programme), will help us to continue with initiatives which combine technology and the arts in our curriculum.

The recent sponsorship will be invested in LEGO Education robotic kits for the junior classes and it follows previous funding by Red Hat which was used to produce an Irish language short film, Saoirse, which won a number of national accolades including an All-Ireland award for best production.
