School Closure and Online Learning
As you are aware the DES have closed all schools across the country for the month of January. Teachers will begin teaching online from next Monday through the use of their Padlet pages. These Padlet pages are listed and can be accessed here.
Parents are not expected to be able to complete the same amount of work that might be completed in school and we ask only that pupils and parents engage with the work as best they can under the circumstances. Pupils who are experiencing learning difficulties and for whom the work might be more challenging will be able to access differentiated support from the learning support team. Teachers can be contacted through the email to be found on the Padlet page. Some teachers will be using different platforms as we progress through the closure period and will be trying to engage and present the work in as affective a means as possible.
Arrangements for collection of school books on Monday, 11 January 2021 are set out in the table below. Please remain socially distant and wear a mask when collecting the books. They will be available at the front door of the school and labelled with your child’s name. If you are not in a position to avail of these pickup times, for whatever reason, we will try and ensure that all textbooks are available online.
