What is laughable is the mention of the forward planning on the article on the DES website where the DES has identified areas of population growth. The fact is that from 1982 to 2010 Tramore's population grew from 5600 to over 9000. In that time no permanent school building was built in Tramore. Tramore is no longer seen as a growing area so does not get priority compared to new areas of projected growth like Kildare and Meath. Hence we will languish indefinitely forgotten in prefabs while other areas will have schools built immediately.

An rud is áiféisí faoi seo go léir ná ráitis na Roinne ar alt ar shúiomh na Rannóige Tógála agus Pleanála faoi phleanáil chun cinn agus go bhfuil an Roinn tar éis na ceantair fáis a aithint. D'fhás daonra na Trá Móire ó 5600 duine go breis 9000 duine idir na blianta 1982 agus 2010. Sa tréimhse sinn níor tógadh oiread is seomra ranga amháin sa bhaile. Anois ní aithnítear an baile mar cheantar ag fás a thuilleadh ach fágtar sinne tréigthe sna seomraí réamhdhéanta leis an nGaelscoil sa sáinn is measa. Tá an córas lochtach cam éagórach amach is amach agus tá daltaí bunscoile thíos leis níos mó ná aon dream eile.

According to the DES website 26 projects were completed in 2009. As there are currently 1200 applications for major building projects submitted by schools we can safely say that the current school accommodation crisis in will be addressed by 2060. That is if no new project application is submitted.
